BEDFORD at IFAT India 2026: Thank You for Meeting Us in Mumbai
Three days at IFAT India 2026 passed quickly.
From September 9 to 11, our BEDFORD team welcomed customers, distributors, contractors, pump professionals and new visitors at Booth E011h in Hall 4 of the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.
Looking back on the exhibition, what we remember most is not simply the number of visitors who came to our booth.
It is the conversations.
Some visitors came with specific pump projects they were already working on. Some wanted to understand how variable-frequency control could improve an existing water supply system. Others were looking for new products, new suppliers or possible long-term cooperation.
There were also many people who simply stopped by, asked questions and wanted to understand what BEDFORD does.
For us, every one of these conversations was valuable.
Three Days of Meetings, Questions and Real Project Discussions
During IFAT India 2026, we presented several of our pump control solutions, including water pump inverters, solar pump inverters and intelligent constant-pressure water supply solutions.
But exhibitions are never only about showing products.
The most useful part is often hearing what customers are actually dealing with in the field.
Throughout the exhibition, we spoke with visitors about different water supply applications, pump control requirements, installation environments and purchasing concerns.
Some discussions focused on constant-pressure water supply.
Others were related to solar pumping, agricultural water systems, commercial buildings or different pump applications where variable-frequency control can help the pump operate according to actual demand.
These conversations help us understand the market far better than simply looking at specifications or sales data.
As a manufacturer, we spend a lot of time thinking about product design, control logic, reliability, installation and production.
At an exhibition, however, we get the opportunity to hear the other side directly.
What does the installer care about?
What does the distributor need?
What makes a system easier to commission?
What kind of problems are customers seeing after equipment has been running for months or years?
These questions are important to us because a good pump inverter is not only a piece of electrical equipment. It has to work properly as part of a complete pumping system.

Some of you travelled a long distance to attend the exhibition.
Some stayed at our booth for a long technical discussion.
Some introduced us to local market conditions and shared their own experiences with pumps, water systems and automation.
And many visitors took photos with our team before leaving.
These may seem like small moments during a busy exhibition, but they are an important part of building real business relationships.
We appreciate the time, questions and trust that every visitor gave us.
For customers and partners we had already been in contact with before the exhibition, it was especially good to finally meet face to face.
For those we met for the first time in Mumbai, we hope this exhibition will be the beginning of a longer conversation.
Our Impression of the Indian Pump Market
India is a market we continue to watch with great interest.
The scale of the country, the diversity of applications and the continued development of water infrastructure, agriculture, buildings and industrial systems all create very different requirements for pumping equipment and pump control.
What impressed us during IFAT India was the level of curiosity and practical thinking among many visitors.
Customers were not only asking about price.
They were also asking about control methods, protection functions, application suitability, reliability, installation and how different solutions could fit into their existing systems.
From a manufacturer’s point of view, this is encouraging.
It shows that more buyers are looking beyond a single component and starting to consider the performance of the complete pumping system.
This is also where we believe professional pump inverter manufacturers can create more value.
A variable-frequency drive used for a pump should not simply make a motor run faster or slower.
It should work together with pressure feedback, system demand, protection functions and the characteristics of the pump itself.
For different applications, the control strategy may also be different.
This is why BEDFORD continues to focus specifically on pump inverter technology and pump control solutions rather than treating pump applications as only one small part of a general automation product portfolio.
What We Take Back From IFAT India 2026
An exhibition always gives us new things to think about.
Some feedback can lead to product improvements.
Some conversations help us better understand how customers select equipment.
Some discussions may eventually become real projects.
And sometimes, a short conversation gives us a new perspective on a market that we thought we already understood.
After IFAT India 2026, our work does not stop.
Our team will continue following up on the projects and technical questions discussed during the exhibition.
